Leilani Macedo has been an Aveda stylist for more than ten years. She believes in the Aveda philosphy to "care for the world we live in, from the products we make to the ways in which we give back to society" (from Aveda's founder, Horst M. Rechelbache)r. Aveda does this by use of sustainable, plant-based products and non-petroleum based mineral ingredients. In the Fall of 2006, Leilani was able to make her dream come true and open an Aveda Concept Salon of her own. After a year of being the driving force behind AurA, although it's very hard work, the rewards cannot be equaled.

Earlier this year, Leilani's partner also joined the salon full-time. Janelle now works the reception desk at AurA and together, Leilani and Janelle make an excellent and unstoppable team.
